CommBank Scam: Fake NetBank Log On Pages Copying the New Design

Scam emails and texts are linking to fake NetBank log on pages made to look like CommBank's refreshed NetBank design, to steal your banking details.
What the scam looks like
CommBank recently updated the look of NetBank, and scammers are copying the new design. They send emails and text messages with a link to a fake NetBank log on page. The page looks convincing, but anything you type into it goes straight to the scammer.
The message usually gives a reason to log in quickly, such as a problem with your account or a transaction to check.
What to watch out for
- Any email or text with a link to log on to NetBank. CommBank does not send links that take you to a log on page.
- A web address that isn’t commbank.com.au, or looks close to it with extra words or odd spelling.
- Pressure to act fast, or a warning that your account will be restricted.
What to do
- Don’t click the link. Delete the message.
- Log on only through the CommBank app, or by typing commbank.com.au into your browser yourself.
- If you entered your details on a page from a link, call CommBank on 13 2221 straight away and change your NetBank password.
Where to report it
- Forward the email or a screenshot of the text to hoax@cba.com.au.
- Report it to Scamwatch at scamwatch.gov.au.
