Current NAB scams
- NAB Fake Audit Email Scam Targeting Business CustomersEmails posing as a NAB credit review or internal audit ask businesses for details of outstanding invoices, sometimes quoting a forwarded message from their banker.
- NAB Payment Alert Email Scam: 'Call Us and Quote Your Tracking Code'NAB-branded emails claim unauthorised payments were attempted on your account and tell you to call a number with a tracking code or click a link to approve.
How to tell if it’s really NAB
NAB says it will never:
- send an email or text asking for your personal information
- send unexpected text messages with links in them
- ask for your card PIN or full card details, or ask you to leave your card out to be collected
- ask you to transfer money to another account to keep it safe, or to withdraw cash for checking
- use flash pop-up messages to contact you
If a message tells you to call a number, don’t. Find NAB’s number yourself on nab.com.au or in the NAB app.

Call NAB on 13 22 65 as soon as you can, or visit a branch.
