Current Australia Post scams
- Australia Post Text Scam: 'Driver Couldn't Find a Safe Place for Your Parcel'A high volume of scam messages by iMessage and RCS claim a driver couldn't leave your parcel and ask you to reply or click a link to arrange redelivery.
- Australia Post Redelivery Fee Scam: Texts Asking You to Pay to RebookScam texts say a small fee is needed to arrange redelivery of your parcel and link to a fake payment page. Australia Post doesn't ask for redelivery fees by text.
How to tell if it’s really Australia Post
Australia Post says it will never call, text or email you asking for:
- personal or financial information, passwords, credit card or account details
- payment, including redelivery fees
The most reliable way to get genuine delivery updates is the AusPost app with push notifications turned on. You can then opt out of SMS delivery notifications altogether.
