- ANZ Recruiter Scam: Fake Job Offers From Gmail AccountsScammers are posing as former ANZ recruiters, using stolen identities and free email accounts, to contact job seekers and steal their personal details.
- Fake 'Verify You're Human' Pages That Ask You to Paste a CommandANZ warns of fake security check pages that ask you to copy and paste a command into your computer to "prove you're human", which installs malicious software.
How to tell if it’s really ANZ
ANZ says it will never ask you to:
- share passwords, PINs, ANZ Shield codes, token codes or one-time passcodes
- click a link to log in to your account
- give anyone remote access to your computer, phone or tablet
- transfer money to another account
If you’re unsure, stop and contact ANZ yourself through the ANZ App or anz.com.au, not through details in the message.
