myGov Robocall Scam: Automated Calls Claiming Illegal Activity in Your Name
Reported September 2026
Automated calls pretending to be myGov claim illegal activity was committed in your name and tell you to press 1, then scare you into paying money.
What the scam looks like

The person you reach tries to frighten you into handing over money, and may threaten you if you refuse.
